In my world...

I thought I would come out of my world for a little while and post something on my blog.. well to say that I'm alive and busy.

Second princess now being almost 9 weeks, I'm off to work today and feeling pangs of separation already.

The comp. I entered, New Voices, was interesting if nothing else. Obviously,my chapter didn't get picked, I didn't win the free critique, nor did it end up on the list of chapters they wanted to see more of.
But what is shocking is neither did any of my fabulous CPs' chapters get picked, nor some other fantastic chapters I read.

Anyway, surprisingly, I don't feel too bad about myself.

I redid the chapter and submitted the partial of Alessandro and Rachel, which is written except for the last two chapters and am really glad that I did.

Now to see what happens...

In the meantime, I'm mulling over three different ideas and wondering which one to start..

Alexandra and Nicolas?

Lauren and Zafir?

Or

Emma and Lucas?

Will let you know as soon as I decide...

What about you guys? How are you going to show them that you're not giving up?

You have a Leo in the family. (My birthday is August 14th and I love Leos!) Your daughter is adorable. I feel your pain about going back to work, having been through it three times. Good luck with that and your writing and finding time to do it all! Thanks for visiting my blog!

Wow time is really flying by! I can't believe she's nine weeks already :) Congrats on submitting your partial Sri and can't wait to hear who you settle on for your next WIP

I cried for a month straight when I went back to work after giving birth to THE LITTLE GIRL! (She's seven now. Wow!) I feel for you... I really do. Congrats on sending your partial. I'm polishing an editor-requested partial... hope to have it off within the next week or so. Staying busy always takes my mind off any disappointment.

Yep, I was another crier the day I went back to work and left my second little one behind! It's hard. Anyway, I loved your chapter Sri. So glad to hear you've posted it off. Back to NTAI huh?
As for me, I did a blog post on the importance of whining! And then I sent off a chapter and synopsis to the ed (not my NV chapter, another one). So we'll see what she thinks...

Thanks, Lacey. I can't believe it either that she's already smiling and cooing.

Oh, hugs on the separation anxiety, Sri. It's not easy but the reunions will be the sweeter for it! And whatever you decide to write next, I can't wait to read it!

It is for Desire. *gulp* Are you targeting Desire, too?

Thanks Rachel and good luck with your partial too.

Good luck, Tina. I actually love writing both Presents and Desire. I know I probably should pick one and stick with it. But I love the intensity of Presents and the scope of different stories that is Desire.
Will have to see where I end up.

Sri.

Thank you, Sri. I think it's awesome you're targeting both lines. Go for it! Good luck to you, too. :)
